Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Give me back the joy that comes from being saved by you. Give me a spirit that obeys you so that I will keep going.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.

Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.

How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!

Lord, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed.Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways.

And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out,“ Abba, Father.”Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.

Then I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be glad because he rescues me.

Tears of joy will stream down their faces, and I will lead them home with great care. They will walk beside quiet streams and on smooth paths where they will not stumble. For I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my oldest child.“ Listen to this message from the Lord, you nations of the world; proclaim it in distant coastlands: The Lord, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock.For the Lord has redeemed Israel from those too strong for them.They will come home and sing songs of joy on the heights of Jerusalem. They will be radiant because of the Lord’s good gifts— the abundant crops of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and the healthy flocks and herds. Their life will be like a watered garden, and all their sorrows will be gone.The young women will dance for joy, and the men— old and young— will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.The priests will enjoy abundance, and my people will feast on my good gifts. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

I was angry, so I punished these greedy people. I withdrew from them, but they kept going on their own stubborn way.I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway! I will lead them. I will comfort those who mourn,

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him,“ Abba, Father.”

How the king rejoices in your strength, O Lord! He shouts with joy because you give him victory.

My steps have stayed on your path; I have not wavered from following you.

“ I long for the years gone by when God took care of me,when he lit up the way before me and I walked safely through the darkness.

I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.

Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering.

Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
