爾罪參在上。吾暫守緘默。遂謂吾無見。與爾為同德。詎知時已屆。將降爾顯罰。罪孽彰在目。何由逭爾責。

When you did these things, I kept silent. So you thought I was just like you. But now I’m going to bring you to court. I will bring charges against you.

“ Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have not been true to me, and have neither remembered me nor taken this to heart? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?

You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

Whoever remains stiff- necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed— without remedy.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.Although a wicked person who commits a hundred crimes may live a long time, I know that it will go better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

They say,“ The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice.”Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see?Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?The Lord knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile.

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.

“ For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.

The Lord has sworn by himself, the Pride of Jacob:“ I will never forget anything they have done.

Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings.Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him?

My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent,for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.

I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
