爾罪參在上。吾暫守緘默。遂謂吾無見。與爾為同德。詎知時已屆。將降爾顯罰。罪孽彰在目。何由逭爾責。

Who was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied and didn’t remember me or take it to heart? I have kept silent for a long time, haven’t I? So you do not fear me.

You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

One who becomes stiff-necked, after many reprimands will be shattered instantly— beyond recovery.

Or do you despise the riches of his kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.

Because the sentence against an evil act is not carried out quickly, the heart of people is filled with the desire to commit evil.Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, I also know that it will go well with God-fearing people, for they are reverent before him.

So don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

They say,“ The LORD doesn’t see it. The God of Jacob doesn’t pay attention.”Pay attention, you stupid people! Fools, when will you be wise?Can the one who shaped the ear not hear, the one who formed the eye not see?The one who instructs nations, the one who teaches mankind knowledge— does he not discipline?The LORD knows the thoughts of mankind; they are futile.

For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

Our God is coming; he will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes him, and a storm rages around him.

“ I have kept silent from ages past; I have been quiet and restrained myself. But now, I will groan like a woman in labor, gasping breathlessly.

The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: I will never forget all their deeds.

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be zealous and repent.

God replied to Moses,“ I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.”

The wicked say,“ How can God know? Does the Most High know everything?”

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust on the scales; he lifts up the islands like fine dust.Lebanon’s cedars are not enough for fuel, or its animals enough for a burnt offering.All the nations are as nothing before him; they are considered by him as empty nothingness.With whom will you compare God? What likeness will you set up for comparison with him?

God of my praise, do not be silent.For wicked and deceitful mouths open against me; they speak against me with lying tongues.They surround me with hateful words and attack me without cause.

God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?

But if the wicked man is shown favor, he does not learn righteousness. In a righteous land he acts unjustly and does not see the majesty of the LORD.

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or for your burnt offerings, which are continually before me.
