You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.

You use your mouth to speak evil. You use your tongue to spread lies.

Your mouth is filled with wickedness, and your tongue is full of lies.

You let your mouth loose in evil, And your tongue harnesses deceit.

You do damage with words, and use your tongue to deceive.

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue[ is] mischief and vanity.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.None calleth for justice, nor[ any] pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Their throat[ is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps[ is] under their lips:Whose mouth[ is] full of cursing and bitterness:

For[ there is] no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part[ is] very wickedness; their throat[ is] an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

For[ it was] not an enemy[ that] reproached me; then I could have borne[ it]: neither[ was it] he that hated me[ that] did magnify[ himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour:[ with] flattering lips[ and] with a double heart do they speak.The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips,[ and] the tongue that speaketh proud things:

[ The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war[ was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet[ were] they drawn swords.

And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies,[ and] weary themselves to commit iniquity.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!And the tongue[ is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:But the tongue can no man tame;[ it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

The words of his mouth[ are] iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise,[ and] to do good.He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way[ that is] not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Who whet their tongue like a sword,[ and] bend[ their bows to shoot] their arrows,[ even] bitter words:That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.They encourage themselves[ in] an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
