You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much livestock?”

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.

Yahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.

Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.”

Wherever the children of men dwell, he has given the animals of the field and the birds of the sky into your hand, and has made you rule over them all. You are the head of gold.

God said,“ Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so.God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.

The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand.Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you.

“ See now, behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature became its name.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.For we are strangers before you, and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.Yahweh our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and is all your own.

Thus God has taken away your father’s livestock, and given them to me.

He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
