彼眾口無信實、心懷惡慝、喉若裂塋、舌施諂諛、

彼敵人、心懷惡念兮、口尚虛詞、喉似破塋兮、舌則諂諛是施。

彼口中無正直、心懷奸惡、喉如陷坑、舌如油渦、

求主保我身。莫為敵所得。平易爾道路。扶我庶無蹶。

Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies.

他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓；他們用舌頭弄詭詐，嘴唇裏有虺蛇的毒氣，

他們彼此商議，專要從他的尊位上把他推下；他們喜愛謊話，口雖祝福，心卻咒詛。（細拉）

城裏的富戶滿行強暴；其中的居民也說謊言，口中的舌頭是詭詐的。

你所喜愛的是內裏誠實；你在我隱密處，必使我得智慧。

他們彎起舌頭像弓一樣，為要說謊話。他們在國中增長勢力，不是為行誠實，乃是惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。你們各人當謹防鄰舍，不可信靠弟兄；因為弟兄盡行欺騙，鄰舍都往來讒謗人。他們各人欺哄鄰舍，不說真話；他們教舌頭學習說謊，勞勞碌碌地作孽。你的住處在詭詐的人中；他們因行詭詐，不肯認識我。這是耶和華說的。

你的舌頭邪惡詭詐，好像剃頭刀，快利傷人。

諂媚鄰舍的，就是設網羅絆他的腳。

你們有禍了！因為你們如同不顯露的墳墓，走在上面的人並不知道。」

惡人的罪過在他心裏說：我眼中不怕神！他自誇自媚，以為他的罪孽終不顯露，不被恨惡。他口中的言語盡是罪孽詭詐；他與智慧善行已經斷絕。他在牀上圖謀罪孽，定意行不善的道，不憎惡惡事。

裝滿了各樣不義、邪惡、貪婪、惡毒；滿心是嫉妒、凶殺、爭競、詭詐、毒恨；又是讒毀的、背後說人的、怨恨神的、侮慢人的、狂傲的、自誇的、捏造惡事的、違背父母的、無知的、背約的、無親情的、不憐憫人的。

下流人真是虛空；上流人也是虛假；放在天平裏就必浮起；他們一共比空氣還輕。

我必不看人的情面，也不奉承人。我不曉得奉承；若奉承，造我的主必快快除滅我。

他們圖謀奸惡，說：我們是極力圖謀的。他們各人的意念心思是深的。

人人向鄰舍說謊；他們說話，是嘴唇油滑，心口不一。凡油滑的嘴唇和誇大的舌頭，耶和華必要剪除。

不然！你們是心中作惡；你們在地上秤出你們手所行的強暴。惡人一出母胎就與神疏遠，一離母腹便走錯路，說謊話。

你們要讚美耶和華！我要在正直人的大會中，並公會中，一心稱謝耶和華。耶和華的作為本為大；凡喜愛的都必考察。他所行的是尊榮和威嚴；他的公義存到永遠。

因為我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話，這是你們知道的；也沒有藏着貪心，這是神可以作見證的。

主對他說：「如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裏面卻滿了勒索和邪惡。

因為從裏面，就是從人心裏，發出惡念、苟合、偷盜、凶殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄。

耶路撒冷啊，你當洗去心中的惡，使你可以得救。惡念存在你心裏要到幾時呢？

人心比萬物都詭詐，壞到極處，誰能識透呢？
