但人居尊贵中不能长久，如同死亡的畜类一样。

豈知人在榮華、不能永久、無異滅亡之畜類、

意謂基業固。第宅保萬世。孳孳求田舍。瑣瑣標名字。

People, despite their wealth, do not endure; they are like the beasts that perish.

Even though people may be very rich, they don’t live on and on. They are like the animals. They die.

Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.

but their fame will not last. They will die, just like animals.

But despite his assets, mankind will not last; he is like the animals that perish.

But man in his splendor will not endure; He is like the animals that perish.

Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not remain; He is like the beasts that perish.

But man being in honor abideth not: He is like the beasts that perish.

I said in my heart,“ As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals; for all is vanity.All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?”

A man who has riches without understanding, is like the animals that perish.

Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” Selah.

Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”

For,“ All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

For man also doesn’t know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.For the sun arises with the scorching wind and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So the rich man will also fade away in his pursuits.
