意謂基業固。第宅保萬世。孳孳求田舍。瑣瑣標名字。

People, despite their wealth, do not endure; they are like the beasts that perish.

Even though people may be very rich, they don’t live on and on. They are like the animals. They die.

Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.

but their fame will not last. They will die, just like animals.

But man in his splendor will not endure; He is like the animals that perish.

Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not remain; He is like the beasts that perish.

But man being in honor abideth not: He is like the beasts that perish.

But despite his assets, man will not last; he is like the animals that perish.

I said to myself,“ This happens so that God may test the children of Adam and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”For the fate of the children of Adam and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; they all have the same breath. People have no advantage over animals since everything is futile.All are going to the same place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.Who knows if the spirits of the children of Adam go upward and the spirits of animals go downward to the earth?

Mankind, with his assets but without understanding, is like the animals that perish.

In fact, you have made my days just inches long, and my life span is as nothing to you. Yes, every human being stands as only a vapor. Selah

However, you will die like humans and fall like any other ruler.”

For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

For certainly no one knows his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

but let the rich boast in his humiliation because he will pass away like a flower of the field.For the sun rises and, together with the scorching wind, dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance perishes. In the same way, the rich person will wither away while pursuing his activities.
