主之安宅誰能動。恩澤騰沸在清晨。

Nations are in disorder. Kingdoms fall. God speaks, and the people of the earth melt in fear.

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.

The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts!

Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when he lifts his voice.

The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth quaked.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

The sovereign LORD who commands armies will do this. He touches the earth and it dissolves; all who live on it mourn. The whole earth rises like the River Nile, and then grows calm like the Nile in Egypt.

The LORD thundered in the sky; the sovereign One shouted.

They told Joshua,“ Surely the LORD is handing over all the land to us! All who live in the land are cringing before us!”

She said to the men,“ I know the LORD is handing this land over to you. We are absolutely terrified of you, and all who live in the land are cringing before you.

The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of the whole earth.

Then I saw a large white throne and the one who was seated on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.

the earth shakes, yes, the heavens pour down rain before God, the God of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.They say,“ Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!”The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.

You will be broken, O nations; you will be shattered! Pay attention, all you distant lands of the earth! Get ready for battle, and you will be shattered! Get ready for battle, and you will be shattered!Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted! Issue your orders, but they will not be executed! For God is with us!

For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile.They carefully plot against your people, and make plans to harm the ones you cherish.They say,“ Come on, let’s annihilate them so they are no longer a nation! Then the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”Yes, they devise a unified strategy; they form an alliance against you.It includes the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre.Even Assyria has allied with them, lending its strength to the descendants of Lot.( Selah)

“ Be sure of this, the time is coming,” says the LORD,“ when the plowman will catch up to the reaper and the one who stomps the grapes will overtake the planter. Juice will run down the slopes, it will flow down all the hillsides.

The mountains will disintegrate beneath him, and the valleys will be split in two. The mountains will melt like wax in a fire, the rocks will slide down like water cascading down a steep slope.

Early the next morning they marched out to the Desert of Tekoa. When they were ready to march, Jehoshaphat stood up and said:“ Listen to me, you people of Judah and residents of Jerusalem! Trust in the LORD your God and you will be safe! Trust in the message of his prophets and you will win.”He met with the people and appointed musicians to play before the LORD and praise his majestic splendor. As they marched ahead of the warriors they said:“ Give thanks to the LORD, for his loyal love endures.”When they began to shout and praise, the LORD suddenly attacked the Ammonites, Moabites, and men from Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.The Ammonites and Moabites attacked the men from Mount Seir and annihilated them. When they had finished off the men of Seir, they attacked and destroyed one another.When the men of Judah arrived at the observation post overlooking the desert and looked at the huge army, they saw dead bodies on the ground; there were no survivors!

and the stars in the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when shaken by a fierce wind.The sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

Amos said:“ The LORD comes roaring out of Zion; from Jerusalem he comes bellowing! The shepherds’ pastures wilt; the summit of Carmel withers.”

“ Then, Jeremiah, make the following prophecy against them:‘ Like a lion about to attack, the LORD will roar from the heights of heaven; from his holy dwelling on high he will roar loudly. He will roar mightily against his land. He will shout in triumph like those stomping juice from the grapes against all those who live on the earth.

The mountains tremble before him, the hills convulse; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all its inhabitants are laid waste.

Plague goes before him; pestilence marches right behind him.He takes his battle position and shakes the earth; with a mere look he frightens the nations. The ancient mountains disintegrate; the primeval hills are flattened. He travels on the ancient roads.

When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. For the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!

Zerah the Cushite marched against them with an army of 1,000,000 men and 300 chariots. He arrived at Mareshah,and Asa went out to oppose him. They deployed for battle in the Valley of Zephathah near Mareshah.Asa prayed to the LORD his God:“ O LORD, there is no one but you who can help the weak when they are vastly outnumbered. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you and have marched on your behalf against this huge army. O LORD our God, don’t let men prevail against you!”The LORD struck down the Cushites before Asa and Judah. The Cushites fled,and Asa and his army chased them as far as Gerar. The Cushites were wiped out; they were shattered before the LORD and his army. The men of Judah carried off a huge amount of plunder.

The voice of the LORD thunders as he leads his army. Indeed, his warriors are innumerable; Surely his command is carried out! Yes, the day of the LORD is awesome and very terrifying– who can survive it?

Later the Moabites and Ammonites, along with some of the Meunites, attacked Jehoshaphat.

When the mountains see you, they shake. The torrential downpour sweeps through. The great deep shouts out; it lifts its hands high.The sun and moon stand still in their courses; the flash of your arrows drives them away, the bright light of your lightning-quick spear.

If only you would tear apart the sky and come down! The mountains would tremble before you!( 64: 1) As when fire ignites dry wood, or fire makes water boil, let your adversaries know who you are, and may the nations shake at your presence!

Look how you have fallen from the sky, O shining one, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O conqueror of the nations!You said to yourself,“ I will climb up to the sky. Above the stars of El I will set up my throne. I will rule on the mountain of assembly on the remote slopes of Zaphon.I will climb up to the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High!”But you were brought down to Sheol, to the remote slopes of the pit.Those who see you stare at you, they look at you carefully, thinking:“ Is this the man who shook the earth, the one who made kingdoms tremble?

to the one who rides through the sky from ancient times! Look! He thunders loudly.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.Since all these things are to melt away in this manner, what sort of people must we be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness,while waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God? Because of this day, the heavens will be burned up and dissolve, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze!

Isaiah son of Amoz sent this message to Hezekiah:“ This is what the LORD God of Israel says:‘ Because you prayed to me concerning King Sennacherib of Assyria,this is what the LORD says about him:“ The virgin daughter Zion despises you– she makes fun of you; daughter Jerusalem shakes her head after you.Whom have you taunted and hurled insults at? At whom have you shouted and looked so arrogantly? At the Holy One of Israel!Through your messengers you taunted the sovereign master,‘ With my many chariots I climbed up the high mountains, the slopes of Lebanon. I cut down its tall cedars and its best evergreens. I invaded its most remote regions, its thickest woods.I dug wells and drank water. With the soles of my feet I dried up all the rivers of Egypt.’Certainly you must have heard! Long ago I worked it out, in ancient times I planned it, and now I am bringing it to pass. The plan is this: Fortified cities will crash into heaps of ruins.Their residents are powerless; they are terrified and ashamed. They are as short-lived as plants in the field or green vegetation. They are as short-lived as grass on the rooftops when it is scorched by the east wind.I know where you live and everything you do and how you rage against me.Because you rage against me and the uproar you create has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle between your lips, and I will lead you back the way you came.”“ This will be your reminder that I have spoken the truth: This year you will eat what grows wild, and next year what grows on its own. But the year after that you will plant seed and harvest crops; you will plant vines and consume their produce.Those who remain in Judah will take root in the ground and bear fruit.“ For a remnant will leave Jerusalem; survivors will come out of Mount Zion. The intense devotion of the LORD who commands armies will accomplish this.So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria:‘ He will not enter this city, nor will he shoot an arrow here. He will not attack it with his shielded warriors, nor will he build siege works against it.He will go back the way he came– he will not enter this city,’ says the LORD.I will shield this city and rescue it for the sake of my reputation and because of my promise to David my servant.”’”The LORD’s messenger went out and killed 185,000 troops in the Assyrian camp. When they got up early the next morning, there were all the corpses!
