Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord.‘ Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.The Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas, And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters; But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, And be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, Like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

“ Lord, when You went out from Seir, When You marched from the field of Edom, The earth trembled and the heavens poured, The clouds also poured water;The mountains gushed before the Lord, This Sinai, before the Lord God of Israel.

and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

The mountains will melt under Him, And the valleys will split Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.

When I said,‘ This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’

The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

“ And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.

I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth.

Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back?O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs?Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob,

He removes the mountains, and they do not know When He overturns them in His anger;He shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble;

Then He said,“ Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;

Then he said to me,“ The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
