Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

所以地雖起了改變，我們也不怕；山雖搖動到海心，我們也不驚；

因此我們不害怕——即使大地變動，群山動搖陷入海中；

故雖大地變遷、山嶽震動、移於海心、

平陸震動、海島遷移、波濤洶湧、山嶽搖撼、我弗迷兮、

所以地雖震陷、山雖崩倒海中、我儕亦無恐懼、

主為吾人所依恃。大難臨頭可托庇。

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

The earth may fall apart. The mountains may fall into the middle of the sea. But we will not be afraid.

Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,

So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth shakes And the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

For this reason we do not fear when the earth shakes, and the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea,

Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me.

Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Though an army deploys against me, my heart will not be afraid; though a war breaks out against me, I will still be confident.

When you hear of wars and rebellions, don’t be alarmed. Indeed, it is necessary that these things take place first, but the end won’t come right away.”Then he told them,“ Nation will be raised up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.There will be violent earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven.

Then the earth shook and quaked; the foundations of the mountains trembled; they shook because he burned with anger.

Jesus answered them,“ Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain,‘ Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godlinessas you wait for the day of God and hasten its coming. Because of that day, the heavens will be dissolved with fire and the elements will melt with heat.But based on his promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found without spot or blemish in his sight, at peace.

“ Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves.People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is near.”

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the sources of the vast watery depths burst open, the floodgates of the sky were opened,and the rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Suddenly, a violent storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves— but Jesus kept sleeping.So the disciples came and woke him up, saying,“ Lord, save us! We’re going to die!”He said to them,“ Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
