You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

You love what is right and hate what is evil. So your God has placed you above your companions. He has filled you with joy by pouring the sacred oil on your head.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all[ things] he might have the preeminence.For it pleased[ the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure[ unto him].

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate[ to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Blessed[ be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly[ places] in Christ:

I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside;[ it] shall not cleave to me.A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked[ person].

The Spirit of the Lord[ is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.And he closed the book, and he gave[ it] again to the minister, and sat down. For such an high priest became us,[ who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint[ to be] king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint[ to be] prophet in thy room.

The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and[ to] my God, and your God.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer[ it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,[ saying],

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all[ ye] workers of iniquity.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither[ whatsoever] worketh abomination, or[ maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
