赫然驅車出。所向誰能當。右手施奇蹟。戡亂如探囊。

Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet.

The word of God kept spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

But many of those who had heard the message believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

saying,“ If you had known on this day, even you, the conditions for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.For the days will come upon you when your enemies will put up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side,and they will level you to the ground, and throw down your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

Why are the nations restless And the peoples plotting in vain?The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers conspire together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“ Let’s tear their shackles apart And throw their ropes away from us!”He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,“ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”“ I will announce the decree of the Lord: He said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have fathered You.Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession.You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’ ”

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

Say to God,“ How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will pretend to obey You.All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah

For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword.Then the Lord will appear over them, And His arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord God will blow the trumpet, And march in the storm winds of the south.

Now when they heard this, they were infuriated, and they began gnashing their teeth at him.

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what are we to do?”

And increasingly believers in the Lord, large numbers of men and women, were being added to their number,

But when they heard this, they became infuriated and nearly decided to execute them.

For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and all around as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
