They have helped the children of Lot. Selah.Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,who said,“ Let’s take possession of God’s pasture lands.”My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, Yahweh.Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish;that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.

Yahweh, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”

Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt.

and has delivered us from our adversaries; for his loving kindness endures forever:

“ For Yahweh has driven great and strong nations out from before you. But as for you, no man has stood before you to this day.One man of you shall chase a thousand; for it is Yahweh your God who fights for you, as he spoke to you.

Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor,“ Come! Let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that Yahweh will work for us; for there is no restraint on Yahweh to save by many or by few.”His armor bearer said to him,“ Do all that is in your heart. Turn and, behold, I am with you according to your heart.”Then Jonathan said,“ Behold, we will pass over to the men, and we will reveal ourselves to them.If they say this to us,‘ Wait until we come to you!’ then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up to them.But if they say this,‘ Come up to us!’ then we will go up; for Yahweh has delivered them into our hand. This shall be the sign to us.”

Yahweh said to Joshua,“ Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”Joshua therefore came to them suddenly. He marched from Gilgal all night.Yahweh confused them before Israel. He killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not afflict them any more, as at the first,

The children of Israel said to Samuel,“ Don’t stop crying to Yahweh our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.”Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to Yahweh. Samuel cried to Yahweh for Israel; and Yahweh answered him.As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines came near to battle against Israel; but Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines, and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.The men of Israel went out of Mizpah, and pursued the Philistines, and struck them, until they came under Beth Kar.Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying,“ Yahweh helped us until now.”

and that all this assembly may know that Yahweh doesn’t save with sword and spear; for the battle is Yahweh’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

Yahweh said to Joshua,“ Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.

Yahweh said to Gideon,“ There are still too many people. Bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. It shall be, that those whom I tell you,‘ This shall go with you,’ shall go with you; and whoever I tell you,‘ This shall not go with you,’ shall not go.”So he brought down the people to the water; and Yahweh said to Gideon,“ Everyone who laps of the water with his tongue, like a dog laps, you shall set him by himself; likewise everyone who bows down on his knees to drink.”The number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people bowed down on their knees to drink water.Yahweh said to Gideon,“ I will save you by the three hundred men who lapped, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, each to his own place.”

Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time because Yahweh, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
