No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

They are absolutely terrified, even by things that do not normally cause fear. For God annihilates those who attack you. You are able to humiliate them because God has rejected them.

the one who delivers kings, and rescued David his servant from a deadly sword.

O God, do not be silent! Do not ignore us! Do not be inactive, O God!For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile.They carefully plot against your people, and make plans to harm the ones you cherish.They say,“ Come on, let’s annihilate them so they are no longer a nation! Then the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”Yes, they devise a unified strategy; they form an alliance against you.It includes the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre.Even Assyria has allied with them, lending its strength to the descendants of Lot.( Selah)Do to them as you did to Midian– as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River!They were destroyed at Endor; their corpses were like manure on the ground.Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna,who said,“ Let’s take over the pastures of God!”O my God, make them like dead thistles, like dead weeds blown away by the wind!Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides,chase them with your gale winds, and terrify them with your windstorm.Cover their faces with shame, so they might seek you, O LORD.May they be humiliated and continually terrified! May they die in shame!Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth.

O sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle.

I will humiliate his enemies, and his crown will shine.

May those who are trying to snatch away my life be totally embarrassed and ashamed! May those who want to harm me be turned back and ashamed!

and snatched us away from our enemies, for his loyal love endures,

“ The LORD drove out from before you great and mighty nations; no one has been able to resist you to this very day.One of you makes a thousand run away, for the LORD your God fights for you as he promised you he would.

Jonathan said to his armor bearer,“ Come on, let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised men. Perhaps the LORD will intervene for us. Nothing can prevent the LORD from delivering, whether by many or by a few.”His armor bearer said to him,“ Do everything that is on your mind. Do as you’re inclined. I’m with you all the way!”Jonathan replied,“ All right! We’ll go over to these men and fight them.If they say to us,‘ Stay put until we approach you,’ we will stay right there and not go up to them.But if they say,‘ Come up against us,’ we will go up. For in that case the LORD has given them into our hand– it will be a sign to us.”

The LORD told Joshua,“ Don’t be afraid of them, for I am handing them over to you. Not one of them can resist you.”Joshua attacked them by surprise after marching all night from Gilgal.The LORD routed them before Israel. Israel thoroughly defeated them at Gibeon. They chased them up the road to the pass of Beth Horon and struck them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.

I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle them there; they will live there and not be disturbed any more. Violent men will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginning

The Israelites said to Samuel,“ Keep crying out to the LORD our God so that he may save us from the hand of the Philistines!”So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. Samuel cried out to the LORD on Israel’s behalf, and the LORD answered him.As Samuel was offering burnt offerings, the Philistines approached to do battle with Israel. But on that day the LORD thundered loudly against the Philistines. He caused them to panic, and they were defeated by Israel.Then the men of Israel left Mizpah and chased the Philistines, striking them down all the way to an area below Beth Car.Samuel took a stone and placed it between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying,“ Up to here the LORD has helped us.”

and all this assembly will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves! For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will deliver you into our hand.”

The LORD told Joshua,“ Don’t be afraid of them, for about this time tomorrow I will cause all of them to lie dead before Israel. You must hamstring their horses and burn their chariots.”

When the LORD raised up leaders for them, the LORD was with each leader and delivered the people from their enemies while the leader remained alive. The LORD felt sorry for them when they cried out in agony because of what their harsh oppressors did to them.

The LORD spoke to Gideon again,“ There are still too many men. Bring them down to the water and I will thin the ranks some more. When I say,‘ This one should go with you,’ pick him to go; when I say,‘ This one should not go with you,’ do not take him.”So he brought the men down to the water. Then the LORD said to Gideon,“ Separate those who lap the water as a dog laps from those who kneel to drink.”Three hundred men lapped; the rest of the men kneeled to drink water.The LORD said to Gideon,“ With the three hundred men who lapped I will deliver the whole army and I will hand Midian over to you. The rest of the men should go home.”

Joshua captured in one campaign all these kings and their lands, for the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.
