其得斯土、非恃己刃、其得拯救、非賴己臂、乃賴爾之右手與臂、乃爾容光、以爾悅之兮、

斯民得土、不恃戈兵、不藉人力、乃爾巨力大能、眷顧而祐之兮。

我列祖非仗兵刃得地、亦非恃己之勇力得勝、乃賴主之右手、主之聖臂、主面上之榮光、因蒙主喜悅、

親手逐諸夷。吾族蒙建立。諸夷皆衰落。吾族獨發達。

It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.

They didn’t win the land with their swords. They didn’t gain success by their own power. Your powerful right hand and your mighty arm gave them victory. You gave them success because you loved them.

for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.

They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them.

For they did not take the land by their sword— their arm did not bring them victory— but by your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable toward them.

For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them.

永恆主傾心於你們，揀選你們，並不是因為你們比任何別族之民多（你們在萬族之民中原是最少的）；乃是因為永恆主愛你們，他是在守着他向你們列祖所起的誓，他才用大力的手把你們領出來，把你們從為奴之家贖救出來、脫離埃及王法老的手。

我打發了大黃蜂在你們前面，將亞摩利人的兩個王從你們面前趕出，並不是用你的刀，也不是用你的弓。

恐怕你富足了，你心裏就說：「這資財是我的力量我手的力氣給我得來的。」但是你要記得永恆主你的上帝，記得你得資財的力量是他賜給你的；他賜給你，是要實行他向你列祖所起誓而立的約，像今日這樣。

然而永恆主卻只傾心於你列祖而愛他們；他從萬族之民中揀選了你們做他們以後的苗裔、像今日一樣。

恐怖震懾襲擊了他們。永恆主啊，因你膀臂之大能力，他們竟如石頭寂然不動，等你的人民過去，等你所獲得的人民過去。

我的心哪，你為甚麼沮喪？為甚麼以悲歎壓着我呢？應當仰望上帝；因為我還要稱讚他、我面前的救助、我的上帝。

不但如此，還有利伯加呢；她從我們的先祖以撒一個人而有了孕；在雙子還沒生下來、好壞還沒作出來時（為要使上帝按揀選的定旨得以堅立，不是由於人的行為，乃是由於上帝的呼召），上帝就對利伯加說：『大的必服事小的』；正如經上所記：『我愛了雅各，少愛以掃。』這樣，我們怎麼說呢？難道在上帝還有不公平麼？斷乎沒有。因為他對摩西說：『我要體恤誰，就體恤誰；我要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰。』

我的心哪，你為甚麼沮喪？為甚麼以悲歎壓着我呢？應當仰望上帝；因為我還要稱讚他、我面前的救助、我的上帝。

因他愛你列祖，揀選他們以後的苗裔，用大能力親自領你出了埃及，要將比你大比你強的國的人、從你面前趕出，而領你進去，將他們的地賜給你為業，像今日一樣，

拯救者啊，你這用右手拯救那避難於你裏面、以脫離那起來攻擊他們的啊，求你將你的堅愛奇妙地顯出。

為甚麼將你的手縮回，將你右手老縮在懷中呢？

現在我知道永恆主必使他所膏立的得勝；他必從他的聖天上用他右手得勝的大能應他。

許多人總說：「誰能指示我們甚麼好處？」永恆主啊，揚起你臉上的光來照我們哦。

永恆主為了他至大之名的緣故、必不丟棄他的人民，因為永恆主喜歡使你們做屬他的子民。

他應聲告訴我說：『這是永恆主的話、向所羅巴伯說的：萬軍之永恆主說；不是依靠權勢，不是倚靠能力，乃是倚靠我的靈。

永恆主若喜愛我們，他就會領我們進那地、把地賜給我們、就是流奶與蜜之地。

你用膀臂贖回了你的人民、雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）

但我們有這寶貝在瓦器裏，是要顯明這能力之無量高超是屬於上帝，不是出於我們。

那使他榮美的膀臂在摩西的右手邊行動、在他們面前將水分開、

永恆主說：『我愛了你們。』但你們卻說：『你在甚麼事上愛了我們呢？』永恆主發神諭說：『以掃豈不是雅各的哥哥麼？然而我卻愛了雅各，而不愛以掃：我使以掃的山地荒涼，將他的地業交給曠野的野狗。

這樹已被火燒，被刀割；願敵人因你臉上的叱責而滅亡。
