爾施大力、降災於異邦而驅逐之兮、爾使選民、安居厥所兮、

主手驅逐異邦人、栽培我列祖、將彼滅絕、使我列祖蕃衍、

吾主古時恩。先輩遞相述。吾儕耳所聞。聖跡何烈烈。

With your hand you drove out the nations and planted our ancestors; you crushed the peoples and made our ancestors flourish.

By your power you drove out the nations. You gave our people homes in the land. You crushed the people who were there. And you made our people do well.

you with your own hand drove out the nations, but them you planted; you afflicted the peoples, but them you set free;

You drove out the pagan nations by your power and gave all the land to our ancestors. You crushed their enemies and set our ancestors free.

In order to plant them, you displaced the nations by your hand; in order to settle them, you brought disaster on the peoples.

You with Your own hand drove out the nations; Then You planted them; You afflicted the peoples, Then You let them go free.

Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.

You, by your power, defeated nations and settled our fathers on their land; you crushed the people living there and enabled our ancestors to occupy it.

He drove out nations before them. He apportioned their inheritance by lot and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.

You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of Your possession; Lord, You have prepared the place for Your dwelling; Lord, Your hands have established the sanctuary.

He struck down many nations and slaughtered mighty kings:Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to His people Israel.

“ When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess, and He drives out many nations before you— the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and powerful than you—

Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

You uprooted a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it.You cleared a place for it; it took root and filled the land.The mountains were covered by its shade, and the mighty cedars with its branches.It sent out sprouts toward the Sea and shoots toward the River.

He gave them the lands of the nations, and they inherited what other peoples had worked for.

So Joshua took the entire land, in keeping with all that the Lord had told Moses. Joshua then gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal allotments. After this, the land had rest from war.

I sent the hornet ahead of you, and it drove out the two Amorite kings before you. It was not by your sword or bow.

They ate, were filled, became prosperous, and delighted in Your great goodness.But they were disobedient and rebelled against You. They flung Your law behind their backs and killed Your prophets who warned them in order to turn them back to You. They committed terrible blasphemies.So You handed them over to their enemies, who oppressed them. In their time of distress, they cried out to You, and You heard from heaven. In Your abundant compassion You gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the power of their enemies.

I will send the hornet in front of you, and it will drive the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites away from you.

The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod, terrorizing and afflicting the people of Ashdod and its territory with tumors.When the men of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said,“ The ark of Israel’s God must not stay here with us, because His hand is strongly against us and our god Dagon.”

I will establish a place for My people Israel and plant them, so that they may live there and not be disturbed again. Evildoers will not afflict them as they have done

When Pharaoh’s horses with his chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.

Observe what I command you today. I am going to drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

He said:“ You will know that the living God is among you and that He will certainly dispossess before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites

He struck down great kings His love is eternal.and slaughtered famous kings— His love is eternal.Sihon king of the Amorites His love is eternal.and Og king of Bashan— His love is eternal.and gave their land as an inheritance, His love is eternal.an inheritance to Israel His servant. His love is eternal.

As they fled before Israel, the Lord threw large hailstones on them from the sky along the descent of Beth-horon all the way to Azekah, and they died. More of them died from the hail than the Israelites killed with the sword.
