That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.

你在野狗之處壓傷我們，用死蔭遮蔽我們。

你在野狗出沒之處壓傷我們，以死蔭籠罩我們。

你在野狗出沒之處壓傷我們，以死蔭籠罩我們。

你在豺狼出沒的地方壓碎我們，使死亡的陰影籠罩我們。

但你竟在野狗之地把我們壓傷了，又以死亡的陰影籠罩我們。

你卻在野狗之處壓傷了我們，又用漆黑的幽暗淹沒了我們。

然而你在豺狗出沒之地壓垮我們，用死蔭籠罩我們。

爾於野犬之處、壓我維甚、蔽以陰翳兮、

爾加以重傷、野犬環繞、陰翳蔽目兮。

主乃將我儕推入龍蛇穴內、以死之陰翳遮蔽我儕、

吾心何曾貳。遵命何曾忒。

But you crushed us and made us a haunt for jackals; you covered us over with deep darkness.

But you crushed us and left us to the wild dogs. You covered us over with deep darkness.

yet you have broken us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death.

Yet you have crushed us in the jackal’s desert home. You have covered us with darkness and death.

But you have crushed us in a haunt of jackals and have covered us with deepest darkness.

Yet You have crushed us in a place of jackals And covered us with deep darkness.

But You have severely broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.

But You have crushed us in a haunt of jackals and have covered us with deepest darkness.

Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

Yet you have battered us, leaving us a heap of ruins overrun by wild dogs; you have covered us with darkness.

Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; Let a cloud dwell upon it; Let all that maketh black the day terrify it.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lieth in the midst of his rivers, that hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

O God thou hast cast us off, thou hast broken us down; Thou hast been angry; oh restore us again.Thou hast made the land to tremble; thou hast rent it: Heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.Thou hast showed thy people hard things: Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering.

Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: Thou brakest the heads of the sea- monsters in the waters.Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces; Thou gavest him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.

I am faint and sore bruised: I have groaned by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.

And thorns shall come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in the fortresses thereof; and it shall be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches.And the wild beasts of the desert shall meet with the wolves, and the wild goat shall cry to his fellow; yea, the night- monster shall settle there, and shall find her a place of rest.

Before I go whence I shall not return, Even to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death;The land dark as midnight, The land of the shadow of death, without any order, And where the light is as midnight.

And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

I am a brother to jackals, And a companion to ostriches.

And thou shalt say this word unto them, Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous wound.
