You sold your people for a pittance, gaining nothing from their sale.

You sold your people for very little. You didn’t gain anything when you sold them.

You have sold your people for a trifle, demanding no high price for them.

You sold your precious people for a pittance, making nothing on the sale.

You sell Your people cheaply, And have not profited by their sale.

You sell Your people for next to nothing, And are not enriched by selling them.

Thou sellest thy people for nought, And hast not increased thy wealth by their price.

You sell Your people for nothing; You make no profit from selling them.

Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase[ thy wealth] by their price.

You sold your people for a pittance; you did not ask a high price for them.

You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.

I will give up your wealth and your treasures as plunder, without cost, for all your sins in all your borders.

How could one pursue a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?

For this is what the LORD says:“ You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without silver.”For this is what the Lord GOD says:“ At first my people went down to Egypt to reside there, then Assyria oppressed them without cause.

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he sold them to King Cushan-rishathaim of Aram-naharaim, and the Israelites served him eight years.

cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, and frankincense; wine, olive oil, fine flour, and grain; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and slaves— human lives.

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he handed them over to marauders who raided them. He sold them to the enemies around them, and they could no longer resist their enemies.

This is what the LORD says: Where is your mother’s divorce certificate that I used to send her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was sent away because of your transgressions.

and said,“ We have done our best to buy back our Jewish countrymen who were sold to foreigners, but now you sell your own countrymen, and we have to buy them back.” They remained silent and could not say a word.Then I said,“ What you are doing isn’t right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God and not invite the reproach of our foreign enemies?Even I, as well as my brothers and my servants, have been lending them money and grain. Please, let’s stop charging this interest.Return their fields, vineyards, olive groves, and houses to them immediately, along with the percentage of the money, grain, new wine, and fresh oil that you have been assessing them.”They responded,“ We will return these things and require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made everyone take an oath to do this.
