其田曰、我主與、如耶和華祐我、奚至所遇若此、我嘗聞我父之言、昔耶和華導我族出埃及、今其異跡安在、斯時耶和華遺棄我儕、付我於米田人手。

厥後若爾子孫詰爾、行此曷故、爾宜告之、耶和華以大能導我出埃及、脫我於賤役、法老剛愎厥心、不釋我出境、耶和華遍戮埃及人之初胎男子、首生牡畜、故我以首生牡畜、獻祭耶和華、其初胎男子、則以金贖。

我一心仰慕上帝、猶鹿渴慕溪水兮、

吾試以所見告爾、汝其聽之。即哲人之箴規、祖考之遺訓。粵稽在昔、我祖初得斯土、不與異邦人雜處、

我生無幾日、如影靡定、知識未擴、所貴乎博稽古昔、取法前人、

余回憶前時、追維陳跡、

當告若子若孫歷代毋忘、

當頌美耶和華、呼籲其名、以厥經綸、普告兆民兮、宜謳歌之、揄揚之、稱其異跡、

爾與子孫必守此節、永著為例。昔耶和華許以地賜爾、既得斯土、宜行此禮。如爾子孫、問曷故行是。當曰、昔耶和華擊埃及人時、逾越我第宅、拯我眷聚、是以守逾越節、奉耶和華。

生者能頌美爾、余今得生、揄揚爾名、維爾真實無妄、父言之、子聞之、世傳勿替。

耶和華戰紀曰、在數法之哇協、即亞嫩溪、諸水滙聚、流至亞耳宅、近摩押界。以色列族離彼、至庇耳、在彼有井。耶和華諭摩西曰、汝集人民、我飲以水。

詩人詠之曰、希實本可復建、西宏邑可重新、越在疇昔、火自希實本、焰自西宏邑、摩押之亞耳因之悉燬、亞嫩之崇邱、藉以復得。摩押有禍乎、基抹其危哉、厥子遁逃、厥女見攘、俱亞摩哩王西宏所為也。我已射之、希實本危亡、爰及底本、我已滅之、至於挪法、近米底巴。○

今我年邁、皓然白首、毋我遐棄、我將以爾能力、訓誨斯世、爰及後人兮、

越至後日、倘爾子詰爾曰、我上帝耶和華所諭之誡命、法度禮儀、其意何居。
