上帝歟、尚其為我折中、辨屈於不虔之國、援我於詭譎不義之人兮、

民俱不仁、詭譎殘賊兮、予望上帝、伸我冤而援手兮、

求天主在不仁不義之民中、為我伸冤、拯救我脫離奸詐邪惡之人、

何群逆之詭譎兮。惟殘害之為務。求主一測予之中情兮。吾固不與彼同度。主其伸予之冤兮。辨予之誣。

Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.

My God, when you hand down your decision, let it be in my favor. Stand up for me against an unfaithful nation. Save me from those lying and sinful people.

Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me!

Declare me innocent, O God! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars.

Judge me, Lord my God, according to Your righteousness, And do not let them rejoice over me.

The Lord judges the peoples; Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.

You destroy those who speak lies; The Lord loathes the person of bloodshed and deceit.

Now someone informed David, saying,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said,“ Lord, please make the advice of Ahithophel foolish.”

For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their case against you.

But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.

For the Lord will plead their case And take the life of those who rob them.

I will endure the rage of the Lord Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, And I will look at His righteousness.

Save me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, From the grasp of the wrongdoer and the ruthless,

For I am not aware of anything against myself; however I am not vindicated by this, but the one who examines me is the Lord.

and while being abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your advice. What should we do?”Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Have relations with your father’s concubines, whom he has left behind to take care of the house; then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself repulsive to your father. The hands of all who are with you will also be strengthened.”So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom had relations with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was taken as though one inquired of the word of God; so was all the advice of Ahithophel regarded by both David and Absalom.Furthermore, Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Please let me choose twelve thousand men and let me set out and pursue David tonight.And I will attack him while he is weary and exhausted and startle him, so that all the people who are with him will flee. Then I will strike and kill the king when he is alone,and I will bring all the people back to you. The return of everyone depends on the man whom you are seeking; then all the people will be at peace.”And the plan pleased Absalom and all the elders of Israel.
