“ An evil disease”, they say,“ has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”

彼謂惡疾附於其身、既已偃臥、永不復起兮、

見我卧床、謂受惡報、不復振兮、

云惡疾臨於其身、其偃臥必不復起、

幸災樂禍。竊竊私議。

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

They say,“ He is sick and will die very soon. He will never get up from his bed again.”

They say,“ A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”

“ He has some fatal disease,” they say.“ He will never get out of that bed!”

“ Something awful has overwhelmed him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

“ A wicked thing is poured out upon him, So that when he lies down, he will not get up again.”

“ An evil disease,” they say,“ clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

“ Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

An evil disease,[ say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and[ now] that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

They say,‘ An awful disease overwhelms him, and now that he is bed-ridden he will never recover.’

saying,“ God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him.”

There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.I am in pain and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.

Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying,“ Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is,“ My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”

So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh, and struck Job with painful sores from the sole of his foot to his head.He took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with, and he sat among the ashes.

saying,“ Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive:‘ After three days I will rise again.’Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people,‘ He is risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
