“ An evil disease,” they say,“ clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

「惡疾已臨到他身上，他躺下就再也不會起來！」

彼謂惡疾附於其身、既已偃臥、永不復起兮、

見我卧床、謂受惡報、不復振兮、

云惡疾臨於其身、其偃臥必不復起、

幸災樂禍。竊竊私議。

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

They say,“ He is sick and will die very soon. He will never get up from his bed again.”

They say,“ A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”

“ He has some fatal disease,” they say.“ He will never get out of that bed!”

“ Something awful has overwhelmed him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

“ A wicked thing is poured out upon him, So that when he lies down, he will not get up again.”

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

“ Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

An evil disease,[ say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and[ now] that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

They say,‘ An awful disease overwhelms him, and now that he is bed-ridden he will never recover.’

“ An evil disease”, they say,“ has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”

Saying,“ God has forsaken him; Pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.”

There is no soundness in my flesh Because of Your anger, Nor any health in my bones Because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head; Like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds are foul and festering Because of my foolishness.I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are full of inflammation, And there is no soundness in my flesh.

Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said,“ He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is,“ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound— think of it— for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.

saying,“ Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said,‘ After three days I will rise.’Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people,‘ He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.”

Many are they who say of me,“ There is no help for him in God.” Selah
