彼謂惡疾附於其身、既已偃臥、永不復起兮、

見我卧床、謂受惡報、不復振兮、

云惡疾臨於其身、其偃臥必不復起、

幸災樂禍。竊竊私議。

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

They say,“ He is sick and will die very soon. He will never get up from his bed again.”

They say,“ A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”

“ He has some fatal disease,” they say.“ He will never get out of that bed!”

“ Something awful has overwhelmed him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

“ An evil disease,” they say,“ clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

“ Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”

An evil disease,[ say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and[ now] that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

They say,‘ An awful disease overwhelms him, and now that he is bed-ridden he will never recover.’

“ An evil disease”, they say,“ has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”

He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.He has trusted in God; let God rescue Him now, if He takes pleasure in Him; for He said,‘ I am the Son of God.’ ”And the rebels who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him in the same way.Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ Eli, Eli, lema sabaktanei?” that is,“ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?”

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with severe boils from the sole of his foot to the top of his head.And Job took a piece of pottery to scrape himself while he was sitting in the ashes.

and they said,“ Sir, we remember that when that deceiver was still alive, He said,‘ After three days I am rising.’Therefore, give orders for the tomb to be made secure until the third day; otherwise, His disciples may come and steal Him, and say to the people,‘ He has risen from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
