不聞敵人。大施譴訶。願彼遄死。厥名消磨。

When one of them comes to see me, he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander; then he goes out and spreads it around.

When one of them comes to see me, he says things that aren’t true. At the same time, he thinks up lies to tell against me. Then he goes out and spreads those lies around.

And when one comes to see me, he utters empty words, while his heart gathers iniquity; when he goes out, he tells it abroad.

They visit me as if they were my friends, but all the while they gather gossip, and when they leave, they spread it everywhere.

When one of them comes to visit, he speaks deceitfully; he stores up evil in his heart; he goes out and talks.

And when he comes to see me, he speaks empty words; His heart gathers wickedness to itself; When he goes outside, he tells it.

And if he comes to see me, he speaks lies; His heart gathers iniquity to itself; When he goes out, he tells it.

乃窺之、遣偵者、偽為義人、欲即其言、解與方伯、按治之、遂問曰、先生、我知爾所言所傳皆正、不以貌取人、乃以誠傳上帝道者也、我儕納稅該撒、宜否、耶穌知其詭譎、曰、何試我耶、

謹防鄰里、勿信友朋、對眷愛之妻、勿言機密之事、子欺父、女爭母、媳逆姑、則門內之人、等諸仇敵矣、惟我仰望我之上帝耶和華、彼必垂聽、而加拯救、

二王各懷異志、筵宴之間、誑辭是尚、所謀不利、蓋末期未至、

言時、士子𠵽唎㘔人深疾之、多端攻詰、設伏以伺、欲因其口說、陷而罪之、

門未置扉、撒八拉、多比、亞喇伯人基善、與我諸敵、聞我築城完固、則謀我、約我至阿挪平原、相見於鄉、我遣使對曰、我經營孔急、弗能趨造、恐妨工作。彼使往返者四、我答之如前言、厥後撒八拉五遣其使、執未封之書以至、其畧曰、基善有言、異邦人聞爾與猶大人將叛、故築斯城、欲僭稱王、爾使先知托神言、謂爾當為猶大王、都耶路撒冷、吾恐人以此奏王、故請爾至此、與我相議耳。我對曰、爾所云云、毫無確據、乃爾私心忖度。彼言此、欲以懼我、使我心危、工作廢弛、然我志益銳。米希大別孫、地來雅子、示罵雅、杜門不出、我造其廬、彼曰、爾我當入上帝殿、閉其門、有殺爾者、今夕猝至。我曰、豈有我而逃遁者乎、豈有我而入殿、倖保己命者乎、是謀我不為也。蓋吾知其言非上帝所遣、乃受多比、撒八拉之賄而云然。欲恐喝我、使我犯罪、敗我令聞、彼得以侮我。我祈上帝、鑒多比、撒八拉、先知女那亞底、與諸先知、凡欲懼我者、當視其所行而報之。

我聞眾民、訕謗我躬、隨在驚惶、彼此傳語、聲罪辱我、我之友朋、望我趑趄、云、或可誘而勝之、以雪我忿。
