恶人窥探义人，伺机谋害。但耶和华不会让恶人得逞，也不会让义人在审判时被定罪。

祂救他们脱离死亡，保护他们度过饥荒。

蒙耶和华赐福的人必承受土地，被耶和华咒诅的人必遭铲除。

敬畏耶和华、遵行祂旨意的人有福了！你必享受自己的劳动成果，得到祝福，行事亨通。你妻子在家中生养众多，像结实累累的葡萄树，你的桌子周围坐满了你的儿女，如同橄榄树苗。这就是敬畏耶和华的人所蒙的福气。愿耶和华从锡安山赐福给你！愿你一生一世都看见耶路撒冷兴旺！愿你与儿孙同堂！愿平安临到以色列！

祂必救你脱离猎人的网罗和致命的瘟疫。祂必用祂的羽毛遮盖你，用祂的双翼保护你，祂的信实是你的盾牌和壁垒。你必不惧怕黑夜的恐怖，或白日的飞箭，或黑暗中横行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的灾难。尽管千人扑倒在你左边，万人扑倒在你右边，你必安然无恙。
