Happy is one who is considerate of the poor; the LORD will save him in a day of adversity.

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.

Blessed are those who care about weak people. When they are in trouble, the Lord saves them.

Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.

Blessed is one who considers the helpless; The Lord will save him on a day of trouble.

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

Happy is one who cares for the poor; the Lord will save him in a day of adversity.

Blessed[ is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

How blessed is the one who treats the poor properly! When trouble comes, the LORD delivers him.

Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.

The one who despises his neighbor sins, but whoever shows kindness to the poor will be happy.

Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and he will give a reward to the lender.

In every way I’ve shown you that it is necessary to help the weak by laboring like this and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, because he said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.“‘ For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in;I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me.’“ Then the righteous will answer him,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or without clothes and clothe you?When did we see you sick, or in prison, and visit you?’

They will not be disgraced in times of adversity; they will be satisfied in days of hunger.

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints— and by continuing to serve them.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has not shown mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

On the contrary, when you host a banquet, invite those who are poor, maimed, lame, or blind.And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

He distributes freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted in honor.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your house, to clothe the naked when you see him, and not to ignore your own flesh and blood?Then your light will appear like the dawn, and your recovery will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the LORD’s glory will be your rear guard.At that time, when you call, the LORD will answer; when you cry out, he will say,‘ Here I am.’ If you get rid of the yoke among you, the finger-pointing and malicious speaking,and if you offer yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted one, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday.The LORD will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.

You always have the poor with you, and you can do what is good for them whenever you want, but you do not always have me.

Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked.”

He is always generous, always lending, and his children are a blessing.

Send your bread on the surface of the water, for after many days you may find it.Give a portion to seven or even to eight, for you don’t know what disaster may happen on earth.

Because you have kept my command to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is going to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

They asked only that we would remember the poor, which I had made every effort to do.

“ If there is a poor person among you, one of your brothers within any of your city gates in the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.Instead, you are to open your hand to him and freely loan him enough for whatever need he has.Be careful that there isn’t this wicked thought in your heart,‘ The seventh year, the year of canceling debts, is near,’ and you are stingy toward your poor brother and give him nothing. He will cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty.Give to him, and don’t have a stingy heart when you give, and because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you do.For there will never cease to be poor people in the land; that is why I am commanding you,‘ Open your hand willingly to your poor and needy brother in your land.’

The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD, their refuge in a time of distress.The LORD helps and delivers them; he will deliver them from the wicked and will save them because they take refuge in him.

If I have refused the wishes of the poor or let the widow’s eyes go blind,if I have eaten my few crumbs alone without letting the fatherless eat any of it—for from my youth, I raised him as his father, and since the day I was born I guided the widow—if I have seen anyone dying for lack of clothing or a needy person without a cloak,if he did not bless me while warming himself with the fleece from my sheep,

And we exhort you, brothers and sisters: warn those who are idle, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

For I rescued the poor who cried out for help, and the fatherless child who had no one to support him.The dying blessed me, and I made the widow’s heart rejoice.I clothed myself in righteousness, and it enveloped me; my just decisions were like a robe and a turban.I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame.I was a father to the needy, and I examined the case of the stranger.

One who is righteous has many adversities, but the LORD rescues him from them all.

So remember your Creator in the days of your youth: Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say,“ I have no delight in them”;

A king’s fury is a messenger of death, but a wise person appeases it.
