I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know.

I have told the whole community of those who worship you. I have told them what you have done to save me. Lord, you know that I haven’t kept quiet.

I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord.

I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; see, I do not keep my mouth closed— as you know, LORD.

When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently.Then he began to speak to them.“ The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”Everyone spoke well of him and was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips.“ How can this be?” they asked.“ Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”

Then I will thank you in front of the great assembly. I will praise you before all the people.

“ The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! He knows the truth, and may Israel know it, too! We have not built the altar in treacherous rebellion against the Lord. If we have done so, do not spare our lives this day.

For he said to God,“ I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.”

You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

And then he told them,“ Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

Let praise flow from my lips, for you have taught me your decrees.Let my tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.

A third time he asked him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Then feed my sheep.
