Sacrifice and offering you did not desire— but my ears you have opened— burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.

You didn’t want sacrifices and offerings. You didn’t require burnt offerings and sin offerings. You opened my ears so that I could hear you and obey you.

In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.

You take no delight in sacrifices or offerings. Now that you have made me listen, I finally understand— you don’t require burnt offerings or sin offerings.

耶和华说：“你们许多的祭物于我何益呢？公绵羊的燔祭和肥畜的油脂，我已经腻烦了；公牛、羔羊、公山羊的血，我都不喜悦。

所以，基督到世上来的时候，就说：“祭物和礼物不是你所要的，但你曾给我预备了身体。燔祭和赎罪祭是你不喜欢的。那时我说：看哪！我来了，我的事在经卷上已经记载了；上帝啊！我来为要照你的旨意行。”以上说：“祭物和礼物，以及燔祭和赎罪祭，不是你所要的，也不是你喜欢的。”这都是按着律法献的。他接着说：“看哪！我来了，为要照你的旨意行。”可见他除去在先的，为要立定在后的。我们凭着这旨意，藉着耶稣基督，仅只一次献上他的身体就得以成圣。所有的祭司天天站着事奉上帝，屡次献上一样的祭物，这祭物永不能除罪。但基督献了一次永远有效的赎罪祭，就坐在上帝的右边，

撒母耳说：“耶和华喜爱燔祭和祭物，岂如喜爱人听从他的话呢？看哪，听命胜于献祭，顺从胜于公羊的脂肪。

你本不喜爱祭物，若喜爱，我就献上；燔祭你也不喜悦。

上帝就开通世人的耳朵，把警告印在他们心上，

你们虽然向我献燔祭和素祭，我却不悦纳，也不看你们用肥畜献的平安祭。

万军之耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说：“你们要将燔祭加在你们的祭物上，又要吃肉；因为我将你们祖先从埃及地领出来的那日，燔祭和祭物的事我并没有提说，也没有吩咐他们。我只吩咐他们这一件事说：‘你们当听从我的话，我就作你们的上帝，你们也作我的子民。你们行走我所吩咐的一切道路，就可以得福。’

我喜爱慈爱，不喜爱祭物；喜爱人认识上帝，胜于燔祭。

‘我喜爱怜悯，不喜爱祭祀。’你们若明白这话的意思，就不将无罪的当作有罪了。

经上说：‘我喜爱怜悯，不喜爱祭祀。’这句话的意思，你们去揣摩。我不是来召义人，而是召罪人。”

他的主人就要带他到审判官前，再带他到门或门框那里，用锥子穿他的耳朵，他就要永远服事主人。

主耶和华赐我受教者的舌头，使我知道怎样用言语扶助疲乏的人。主每天早晨唤醒，唤醒我的耳朵，使我能听，像受教者一样。主耶和华开启我的耳朵，我并未违背，也未退后。

“至于那些宰牛，杀人，献羔羊，打断狗颈项，献猪血为供物，烧乳香，称颂偶像的，他们选择自己的道路，心里喜爱可憎恶的事；

我并不因你的祭物责备你；你的燔祭常在我面前。
