They were singing a new song:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were killed, and at the cost of your own blood you have purchased for God persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation.You have appointed them as a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one was able to learn the song except the one hundred and forty- four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.

But many of those who had listened to the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.

I will praise the LORD at all times; my mouth will continually praise him.I will boast in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice!Magnify the LORD with me! Let’s praise his name together!I sought the LORD’s help and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.Those who look to him for help are happy; their faces are not ashamed.This oppressed man cried out and the LORD heard; he saved him from all his troubles.

Free me from prison, that I may give thanks to your name. Because of me the godly will assemble, for you will vindicate me.

Afterward, the Israelites will turn and seek the LORD their God and their Davidic king. Then they will submit to the LORD in fear and receive his blessings in the future.

and all people will fear. They will proclaim what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.The godly will rejoice in the LORD and take shelter in him. All the morally upright will boast.

May those who desire my vindication shout for joy and rejoice! May they continually say,“ May the LORD be praised, for he wants his servant to be secure.”

At that time you will say:“ I praise you, O LORD, for even though you were angry with me, your anger subsided, and you consoled me.Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.”Joyfully you will draw water from the springs of deliverance.At that time you will say:“ Praise the LORD! Ask him for help! Publicize his mighty acts among the nations! Make it known that he is unique!
