願那些哈哈嘲笑我的人羞愧難當！

願那譏誚我說：『呵哈！呵哈！』的都因失望而驚駭。

願那些對我說「啊哈，啊哈」的，因自己的恥辱而驚恐。

向我曰嘻嘻者、願其慚怍而驚駭兮、

有謂予曰、吁哉咈哉、爾當使彼煢然孑立、以報斯讐兮、

向我幸災樂禍者、願其羞愧敗亡、

務使謀我者。無所施其伎。

May those who say to me,“ Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame.

Some people make fun of me. Let them be shocked when their plans fail.

Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me,“ Aha, Aha!”

Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said,“ Aha! We’ve got him now!”

Let them be confounded because of their shame, Who say to me,“ Aha, aha!”

Let them be desolate by reason of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

May those who say to me,“ Aha! Aha!” be humiliated and disgraced!

Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me,“ Aha! Aha!”

They open their mouths wide against me and say,“ Aha, aha! We saw it!”

Do not let them say in their hearts,“ Aha! Just what we wanted.” Do not let them say,“ We have swallowed him up!”

How suddenly they become a desolation! They come to an end, swept away by terrors.

Set a wicked person over him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.When he is judged, let him be found guilty, and let his prayer be counted as sin.Let his days be few; let another take over his position.Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.Let his children wander as beggars, searching for food far from their demolished homes.Let a creditor seize all he has; let strangers plunder what he has worked for.Let no one show him kindness, and let no one be gracious to his fatherless children.Let the line of his descendants be cut off; let their name be blotted out in the next generation.Let his ancestors’ guilt be remembered before the Lord, and do not let his mother’s sin be blotted out.Let their sins always remain before the Lord, and let Him erase all memory of them from the earth.For he did not think to show kindness, but pursued the afflicted, poor, and brokenhearted in order to put them to death.He loved cursing— let it fall on him; he took no delight in blessing— let it be far from him.He wore cursing like his coat— let it enter his body like water and go into his bones like oil.Let it be like a robe he wraps around himself, like a belt he always wears.Let this be the Lord’s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil against me.

Let those who say,“ Aha, aha!” retreat because of their shame.Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let those who love Your salvation continually say,“ God is great!”

For the days will come on you when your enemies will build an embankment against you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.They will crush you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

Pour out Your rage on them, and let Your burning anger overtake them.Make their fortification desolate; may no one live in their tents.

Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
