莫壅爾仁淵源源賜洪恩。但願爾聖道。長作我明燈。

For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.

There are more troubles all around me than I can count. My sins have caught up with me, and I can’t see any longer. My sins are more than the hairs of my head. I have lost all hope.

For troubles surround me— too many to count! My sins pile up so high I can’t see my way out. They outnumber the hairs on my head. I have lost all courage.

Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults.

The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and anguish.

But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned— every one— to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He said to his brothers,“ My money has been put back; here it is in the mouth of my sack!” At this their hearts failed them, and they turned trembling to one another, saying,“ What is this that God has done to us?”

Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help.Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me;they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion.I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast;my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death.For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet—I can count all my bones— they stare and gloat over me;they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.But you, O Lord, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid!

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
