When you rebuke and discipline anyone for their sin, you consume their wealth like a moth— surely everyone is but a breath.

You correct and punish people for their sin. Then, just as a moth eats cloth, you destroy their wealth. No one lasts any longer than a breath.

看哪！主耶和華幫助我，誰能定我的罪呢？看哪！他們都必像衣服那樣漸漸破舊；蛀蟲必咬噬他們。

把這樣的人交給撒旦，使他的肉體毀滅，好讓他的靈魂在主的日子可以得救。

為此，你們中間有很多人是軟弱的、患病的，甚至有許多人睡著了。但如果我們省察自己，就不會受懲罰；即使我們受懲罰，也是在受主的管教，免得我們和這世界一同被定罪。

是的，我們因你的怒氣而滅亡，因你的怒火而惶恐。你把我們的罪孽擺在你面前，把我們隱藏的事擺在你的容光之中。我們一生的日子都在你的盛怒中消逝，我們度盡的歲月如同一聲嘆息。我們一生的日子，是七十歲，如果強壯，可到八十歲；但其中可誇耀的，不過是勞苦愁煩，轉瞬即逝，我們就如飛而去。

因為主所愛的人，主都管教；他所接納的每一個兒子，他都鞭打。」

耶和華啊，求你不要在你的震怒中責備我，不要在你的怒火中管教我！因為你的箭射入我身，你的手壓住了我。因你的憤怒，我的肉體無一處健全；因我的罪過，我的骨頭沒有安寧；我的罪孽高過我的頭，過於沉重，如同重擔。因我的愚妄，我的傷口發臭腐爛；我屈身彎腰，低到極處，終日在哀痛中行走；因為我的腰滿是灼痛，我的肉體無一處健全。我失去知覺，全然被壓碎，我因內心掙扎而呻吟。

卻為自己的過犯受了責備：一頭不能說話的驢，竟用人的聲音說出話來，攔阻了這先知的狂妄。

凡是我所愛的，我都責備、管教。所以你應當熱心，應當悔改。

這都是因你憤怒和震怒的緣故，是的，你把我舉起來，又把我丟下。我的年日如同偏斜的影子，我像牧草那樣枯乾。
