但是我呢、我如同聾子、不能聽，如同啞巴、不能開口。

至於我，我就像耳聾的不能聽見，像啞巴不能開口。

我如聾者不聞聲、瘖者不啟口、

我不言不聽、如聾如啞兮、

我如耳聾不聞、如瘖者不啟口、

仇人仍設網。殺我方甘心。群聚議詭計。終日出惡聲。

I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak;

Like a deaf person, I can’t hear. Like someone who can’t speak, I can’t say a word.

But I am like a deaf man; I do not hear, like a mute man who does not open his mouth.

But I am deaf to all their threats. I am silent before them as one who cannot speak.

I am like a deaf person; I do not hear. I am like a speechless person who does not open his mouth.

But I, like a person who is deaf, do not hear; And I am like a person who cannot speak, who does not open his mouth.

But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.

But I, as a deaf man, hear not; And I am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

I am like a deaf person; I do not hear. I am like a speechless person who does not open his mouth.

So I remained utterly silent, not even saying anything good. But my anguish increased; (niv)

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. (niv)

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. (niv)

But the king said,“ What does this have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord said to him,‘ Curse David,’ who can ask,‘ Why do you do this?’”David then said to Abishai and all his officials,“ My son, my own flesh and blood, is trying to kill me. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone; let him curse, for the Lord has told him to.It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse today.” (niv)
