For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

Sinful people will be destroyed. But those who put their hope in the Lord will receive the land.

For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.

But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You.

The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever.

I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree.Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

“ This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.Those who survive him shall be buried in death, And their widows shall not weep,Though he heaps up silver like dust, And piles up clothing like clay—He may pile it up, but the just will wear it, And the innocent will divide the silver.He builds his house like a moth, Like a booth which a watchman makes.The rich man will lie down, But not be gathered up; He opens his eyes, And he is no more.Terrors overtake him like a flood; A tempest steals him away in the night.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; It sweeps him out of his place.It hurls against him and does not spare; He flees desperately from its power.Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.

But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth.

And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

When he is about to fill his stomach, God will cast on him the fury of His wrath, And will rain it on him while he is eating.He will flee from the iron weapon; A bronze bow will pierce him through.It is drawn, and comes out of the body; Yes, the glittering point comes out of his gall. Terrors come upon him;Total darkness is reserved for his treasures. An unfanned fire will consume him; It shall go ill with him who is left in his tent.The heavens will reveal his iniquity, And the earth will rise up against him.The increase of his house will depart, And his goods will flow away in the day of His wrath.This is the portion from God for a wicked man, The heritage appointed to him by God.”

Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
