But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.

Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

The path of the virtuous leads away from evil; whoever follows that path is safe.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.

The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold— though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
