Sinful people will be destroyed. But those who put their hope in the Lord will receive the land.

Don’t say,“ I’ll get even with you for the wrong you did to me!” Wait for the Lord, and he will make things right for you.

So God will destroy you forever. He will grab you and pluck you from your tent. He will remove you from this life.Those who do what is right will see it and learn a lesson from it. They will laugh at you and say,

You have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have poured the finest olive oil on me.I’ve seen my evil enemies destroyed. I’ve heard that they have lost the battle.

You will see with your own eyes how God punishes sinful people.

All those who lift themselves up will be made humble. And those who make themselves humble will be lifted up.”

The path of honest people takes them away from evil. Those who guard their ways guard their lives.

So make yourselves humble. Put yourselves under God’s mighty hand. Then he will honor you at the right time.

Let your eyes look straight ahead. Keep looking right in front of you.Think carefully about the paths that your feet walk on. Always choose the right ways.Don’t turn to the right or left. Keep your feet from the path of evil.

They have spread their gifts around to poor people. Their good works continue forever. They will be powerful and honored.

But godly people will keep doing what is right. Those who have clean hands will grow stronger.

Your troubles have come in order to prove that your faith is real. Your faith is worth more than gold. That’s because gold can pass away even when fire has made it pure. Your faith is meant to bring praise, honor and glory to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ returns.
