爾當仰望主、遵守主之道、主必使爾高升而得地為業、親眼得見惡人滅絕、

兢兢守主道。必蒙主提挈。賜爾承大地。親見眾逆滅。

Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.

你要在耶和華面前靜默，耐心等候他；不要因那道路通達、施行詭計的人而心懷不平。

但是忍耐到底的，這個人將會得救。

因為作惡的必被剪除，唯有等候耶和華的必繼承地土。

你不可說：「我要以惡報惡」；你當等候耶和華，他必拯救你。

為此神要把你永久拆毀，他會抓住你，把你從帳篷裡拖出來，把你從活人之地連根拔出。細拉義人看見，就會心存敬畏，並且譏笑這人：

你高舉了我的角，使它如同野牛的角；你用新油膏抹了我。我的眼睛會看到我的仇敵滅亡，我的耳朵會聽到起來攻擊我的作惡者被打散。

你只要用眼觀看，就會看到惡人的報應。

因為每一個自我高舉的都會被降卑；而自我降卑的都會被高舉。」

正直人的大道，遠離惡事；謹守自己道路的，保守自己的性命。

所以，你們當在神大能的手下降卑，好讓他在所定的時候高舉你們。

你的眼目要向前觀看，你的目光要直視前方。你要度量腳下的路徑，你一切的道路就會被確立。你不要偏右，也不要偏左，要使你的腳離開惡事。

他施捨、給予貧窮人，他的公義將存留到永遠，他的角將在榮耀中被高舉。

好讓你們的信仰經過考驗，就比那被火煉過仍然會朽壞的金子更加寶貴，能在耶穌基督顯現的時候，被看為是可以得著稱讚、榮耀和尊貴的。
