The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

說：「假使我們在我們祖宗的日子，我們就不至於在神言人們血上作他們的夥伴了。」這你們便是控訴自己作證自己是殺害神言人者的子孫了。你們祖宗的惡貫你們去滿盈吧！蛇啊，毒蛇的種啊，你們怎能逃避地獄的定罪呢？故此我差遣神言人智慧人和經學士到你們這裏來；你看吧，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架，有的你們要在你們的會堂裏鞭打，從這一個城追逼到那一個城；

求你把我隱藏，使我脫離作壞事者的陰謀、和作孽之人的串通。他們使舌頭尖銳如刀，比準了他們的箭，就是苦毒的話，要在暗地裏射純全的人，突然地射，也不懼怕。他們堅執着壞念頭，計算着要埋藏網羅，說：『誰能看見它，而搜索出我們所作成的奸惡呢？』深思熟慮的設計、人的內裏和心思是深沉的啊。

我的骨頭都要說：『永恆主啊，誰能比得上你？援救困苦人脫離那比他強的，援救貧窮人脫離那搶奪他的？』

彼得心裏明白過來，說：『如今我真地知道主差遣他的天使出來，救拔我脫離希律的手和猶太民眾所期待的一切事。』

用刀殺掉了約翰的哥哥雅各。他見這事叫猶太人喜歡，便加作了一件：連彼得也捉拿了。那時候是除酵的日子。

對大衛說：『你比我正義；你以善報我，我卻以惡報你。

哪一個神言人、你們的祖宗沒有逼迫過？他們把豫先宣佈那義人之來臨的人殺了。如今你們、你們這些由天使之宣諭領受了律法、而不遵守的人，你們竟成了那義人的出賣者和兇手了！』

我父請看，看你外袍的衣邊居然在我手中呢；我既把你外袍的衣邊割下來，又沒有殺害你，那你總可以知道、總可以看清楚、我手中並沒有謀害或背叛了罷。我沒有得罪了你，你竟獵取我的性命要了結它。

不像該隱；出於那邪惡者、而屠殺了他的兄弟。為甚麼屠殺他呢？因為他自己的行為邪惡，而他兄弟的行為卻是正義。

好流人血的、恨惡純全人；惡人尋索他的性命。

主的使者立時擊打希律，因為他不將榮耀歸與上帝，他被蟲子咬，就氣絕了。

你眼目清潔不看壞事，你是不能逕看着毒害舉動而不理的！為甚麼你逕看着詭詐不忠的人而不理？惡人吞滅了比自己正義的、你為甚麼靜默不動？
