The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them;

Sinful people make plans to harm those who do what is right. They grind their teeth at them.

狂妄之徒饕餮而姍笑、銜憾而切齒兮、

民既犯罪、眾祭司與日獻之祭品、俱為敵虜、真實之理、不許宣播、敵之所為、悉遂其欲、

斯民偃息在床、猶謀不軌、迨至黎明、凡力可以勝、則無不為、其禍必不遠矣。

或以大闢至枝拉告掃羅。掃羅曰、斯邑設有門楗、閉不得出、今入其中、是上帝以彼付於我手。遂集軍旅、欲往枝拉、環攻大闢、暨其僕從。大闢知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂命祭司亞庇亞塔、攜公服至此、

惡者覬間、欲殺善人兮。
