May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away;

Let them be like straw blowing in the wind, while the angel of the Lord drives them away.

Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones[ shall be] as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

The ungodly[ are] not so: but[ are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but[ God] shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff[ that] is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
