幸我遘災者、俾其懷慚抱愧、向我誇大者、俾其被辱蒙羞兮、

彼欲尊己而凌予、幸予有災、當使之自蒙羞惡、駭懼不勝兮。

凡喜我遭難者、願其受辱蒙羞、向我狂放者、願其懷慚抱愧、

務使幸災者。弄巧反成拙。

May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace.

Let all those who laugh at me because I’m in trouble be ashamed and bewildered. Let all who think they are better than I am put on shame and dishonor as if they were clothes.

May those who rejoice at my troubles be humiliated and disgraced. May those who triumph over me be covered with shame and dishonor.

Let those who rejoice at my misfortune be disgraced and humiliated; let those who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and reproach.

May those be ashamed and altogether humiliated who rejoice at my distress; May those who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and dishonor.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”

Let those be put to shame and disappointed altogether who seek to snatch away my life; let those be turned back and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt!Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me,“ Aha, Aha!”

Let them curse, but you will bless! They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad!May my accusers be clothed with dishonor; may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!

Therefore thus says the Lord God:“ Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame;behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, but you shall cry out for pain of heart and shall wail for breaking of spirit.You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name,

Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.

May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt.

For it is not an enemy who taunts me— then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me— then I could hide from him.

May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward!

“ And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.
