别让他们说：“哈哈，我们如愿以偿了！”别让他们说：“我们除掉他了！”

不容他們心裏說：阿哈，遂我們的心願了！不容他們說：我們已經把他吞了！

別讓他們說：「哈哈，我們如願以償了！」別讓他們說：「我們除掉他了！」

不要讓他們心裡說：“啊哈！這正是我們的心願！”不要讓他們說：“我們把他吞下去了！”

別讓他們心裏說：『呵哈！正遂我們的心願！』別讓他們說：『我們把他吞下了！』

不要讓他們心裡說：「啊哈，這正如我們所願！」不要讓他們說：「我們已經把他吞掉了！」

勿容其心曰、嘻、適如我願、勿容彼曰、我已吞之兮、

毋使彼自鳴得意、肆其吞噬兮、

莫容其心中云、吁哉、我已得如願、莫容其言云、我已吞噬之、

彈冠共相慶。竟將彼吞滅。

你所有的仇敌都张开口攻击你，他们嗤笑你，又咬牙切齿，说：“我们吞灭它了！这真是我们期待的日子！我们等到了！亲眼看见了！”

向我们发怒的时候，就把我们活活吞下去了。

耶稣心里立刻知道他们这样议论，就对他们说：“你们心里为什么议论这事？

他们心里说：“我们要把它们完全毁灭！”他们烧毁了地上一切敬拜神的聚会地方。

这必朽坏的既穿上了不朽坏的，这必死的既穿上了不死的，那时，经上的话就应验了：“胜利了！死亡已经被吞灭。

求你不要把我和坏人，跟作恶的人一同除掉；他们与邻居说平安的话，心里却存着奸恶。

求你不要照着我敌人的心愿，把我交给他们，因为有作假见证的人起来攻击我，并且口出凶暴的话。

他信靠神；如果神喜悦他，就让神现在救他吧，因为他说自己是神的儿子。”

愿那些对我说：“啊哈！啊哈！”的，都因羞愧退后。

仇敌说：‘我要追赶，我要追上，我要均分掳物；我要在他们身上得到满足；我要拔出刀来，亲手赶绝他们。’

耶和华啊！求你不要容恶人的心愿得偿，不要使他们的计谋成功，免得他们自高自大。（细拉）

当时有几个经学家也坐在那里，心里议论说：

神从天上施恩拯救我，斥责那践踏我的人；（细拉）神必向我发出他的慈爱和信实。

神啊！求你恩待我，因为人要践踏我；他们终日攻击我，迫害我。我的仇敌终日践踏我，攻击我的人很多。

我在以色列中是和平信实的人，你却设法毁灭这座以色列的母城。你为什么要吞灭耶和华的产业呢？”

轮流设宴的日子一过，约伯就差人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按他们的数目献上燔祭。因为他心里想：“说不定孩子犯了罪，心中亵渎了神。”约伯经常这样作。
