我遭遇患難時，他們卻聚在一起幸災樂禍，合夥誹謗我。素不相識的人也群起攻擊我，不住地譭謗我。

至我遭難、彼眾反歡樂聚集、素不相識之匪類、亦皆聚集毀謗不止、

一朝我罹難。欣然相慶祝。落井更投石。心中懷叵測。

But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee; assailants gathered against me without my knowledge. They slandered me without ceasing.

But when I tripped and fell, they were all very happy. Attackers gathered against me when I didn’t even know it. They kept on telling lies about me.

But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered; they gathered together against me; wretches whom I did not know tore at me without ceasing;

But they are glad now that I am in trouble; they gleefully join together against me. I am attacked by people I don’t even know; they slander me constantly.

別讓他們像獅子般撕裂我，無人搭救。

有幾個人向祂吐唾沫，蒙上祂的眼睛，揮拳打祂，嘲笑祂說：「你說預言吧！」衛兵押祂下去時，也打祂。

上帝在憤怒中撕裂我，迫害我，向我咬牙切齒；仇敵惡狠狠地盯著我。

我快要跌倒，我的痛苦無休無止。

他們說：「他患了惡病，再也起不來了！」

我成了街談巷議的話題，醉漢作歌取笑我。

惡人包圍我，猶如一群惡犬，他們刺傷我的手腳。

士兵把耶穌押進總督府，叫全營的士兵都集在祂周圍。他們剝下耶穌的衣服，替祂披上一件朱紅色的長袍，用荊棘編成冠冕，戴在祂頭上，又拿一根葦稈放在祂右手裡，跪在祂跟前戲弄祂，說：「猶太人的王萬歲！」然後向祂吐唾沫，拿過葦稈打祂的頭。

別讓他們說：「哈哈，我們如願以償了！」別讓他們說：「我們除掉他了！」願幸災樂禍的人蒙羞受辱，自高自大的人無地自容！

我被獅子包圍，躺臥在吃人的野獸中。他們的牙齒是矛和箭，舌頭是尖刀。

仇敵跌倒，不要幸災樂禍；仇敵敗落，不要心裡歡喜。否則，耶和華看見會不悅，不再向仇敵發烈怒。

願他們突遭禍患，作繭自縛，自食惡果！

「但如今，比我年少的人竟嘲笑我，他們的父親曾被我鄙視，連我的牧羊犬都不如。他們精力衰竭，對我有何益處？他們貧窮饑餓，瘦弱不堪，夜間在乾旱荒涼之地啃食。他們在草叢中拔鹹草充饑，以羅騰樹根為食。他們被趕離人群，像賊一樣被喝斥。他們只好住在荒谷，在地洞和岩穴棲身；在雜草間嚎叫如獸，在樹叢中蜷縮一團。他們是愚昧無名之輩，被人用鞭子趕出境外。「如今，他們竟唱歌諷刺我，我成了他們的笑柄。他們厭惡我，不願靠近我，任意朝我臉上吐唾沫。因為上帝苦待我，使我毫無力量，他們才在我面前肆無忌憚。這些無賴從右邊攻擊我，迫使我逃亡，他們展開攻勢要毀滅我。

不喜愛不義，只喜愛真理。

那些不信主的猶太人卻妒火中燒，他們召集了一群市井無賴，在城裡引發騷亂，闖進耶孫的家企圖把保羅和西拉揪出來示眾。

過路的人都嘲笑祂，搖著頭說：「你這聲稱把聖殿拆毀又在三天內重建的人啊，救救自己吧！你要是上帝的兒子，就從十字架上下來吧！」祭司長、律法教師和長老也嘲諷說：「祂救了別人，卻救不了自己！祂要是以色列的王，就從十字架上跳下來吧！我們就信祂。祂說信靠上帝，如果上帝喜悅祂，就讓上帝來救祂吧！因為祂自稱是上帝的兒子。」甚至跟祂一同被釘十字架的強盜也這樣嘲笑祂。

「我何曾因敵人遭殃而歡喜，因他們遇禍而快樂？

嘲笑窮人等於侮辱造物主，幸災樂禍的人必難逃懲罰。

我的仇敵議論我，那些想殺害我的一起策劃陰謀，說：「上帝已經丟棄了他。去追趕、捉拿他吧，因為無人會救他。」

我聽見許多人竊竊私語：「看那個說『四面有恐怖』的人，我們告發他！告發他！」我的好友都盼著我滅亡，說：「或許他會受騙，那樣我們便能打倒他，一泄心頭之恨。」
