I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

I love the LORD because he heard my plea for mercy,and listened to me. As long as I live, I will call to him when I need help.The ropes of death tightened around me, the snares of Sheol confronted me. I was confronted with trouble and sorrow.I called on the name of the LORD,“ Please LORD, rescue my life!”The LORD is merciful and fair; our God is compassionate.The LORD protects the untrained; I was in serious trouble and he delivered me.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.

When I am afraid, I trust in you.

For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self- control.

I jumped to conclusions and said,“ I am cut off from your presence!” But you heard my plea for mercy when I cried out to you for help.

and said,“ I called out to the LORD from my distress, and he answered me; from the belly of Sheol I cried out for help, and you heard my prayer.

During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.

Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.”

The LORD delivers and vindicates me! I fear no one! The LORD protects my life! I am afraid of no one!When evil men attack me to devour my flesh, when my adversaries and enemies attack me, they stumble and fall.

“ So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
