Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

諸弟子皆來聽我之言、我將敬畏主之道訓誨爾曹、

壯獅有時飢。忠徒莫不適。

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of knowledge:[ but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,[ and] apply thine heart to understanding;Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,[ and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as[ for] hid treasures;Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth[ cometh] knowledge and understanding.He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:[ he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity;[ yea], every good path.

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?[ them that are] weaned from the milk,[ and] drawn from the breasts.

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Come[ and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

But when Jesus saw[ it], he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.And he took them up in his arms, put[ his] hands upon them, and blessed them.

Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed[ are they that] keep my ways.

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these[ things] God will bring thee into judgment.Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth[ are] vanity.Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
