小子歟、來聽之、我以寅畏耶和華之道訓爾兮、

爾小子聽之、我將以畏耶和華之道示爾兮。

諸弟子皆來聽我之言、我將敬畏主之道訓誨爾曹、

壯獅有時飢。忠徒莫不適。

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God.For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.He stores up success for the upright; He is a shield for those who live with integrityso that he may guard the paths of justice and protect the way of his faithful followers.Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and integrity— every good path.

Listen, sons, to a father’s discipline, and pay attention so that you may gain understanding,

Who is he trying to teach? Who is he trying to instruct? Infants just weaned from milk? Babies removed from the breast?

I love those who love me, and those who search for me find me.

Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.

When Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them,“ Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”After taking them in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.

Now, sons, listen to me, and pay attention to the words from my mouth.

and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Start a youth out on his way; even when he grows old he will not depart from it.

He called a small child and had him stand among them.“ Truly I tell you,” he said,“ unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child— this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

“ And now, sons, listen to me; those who keep my ways are happy.

Rejoice, young person, while you are young, and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth. And walk in the ways of your heart and in the desire of your eyes; but know that for all of these things God will bring you to judgment.Remove sorrow from your heart, and put away pain from your flesh, because youth and the prime of life are fleeting.So remember your Creator in the days of your youth: Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say,“ I have no delight in them”;

Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so now I tell you,‘ Where I am going, you cannot come.’
