教導我們多過地上的走獸，使我們比空中的飛鳥更聰明。』

「我的百姓愚頑，不認識我；他們是愚昧無知的兒女，有智慧行惡，沒有知識行善。」

我們若把嚼環放在馬嘴裏使牠們馴服，就能控制牠們的全身。

我留心聽，聽見他們說不誠實的話。無人懊悔自己的惡行，說：『我做的是甚麼呢？』他們全都轉奔己路，如馬直闖戰場。空中的鸛鳥知道自己的季節，斑鳩、燕子與白鶴也守候當來的時令；我的百姓卻不知道耶和華的法則。

我聽見以法蓮為自己悲嘆說：『你管教我，我便受管教，我如未馴服的牛犢。求你使我回轉，我便回轉，因為你是耶和華－我的上帝。
