乃自衒無知、惟務言詞之爭辯、致生媢嫉、爭競、訕謗、妄疑、

惡人驕肆、窘迫貧民、願其陷於己謀兮、

若心懷嫉很朋黨、則勿誇勿誑、以敵真理、此智非自上而來、乃屬地與慾與魔也、蓋媢嫉朋黨所在、必有紛亂與諸惡行、

維彼驕人、為我置機檻、張絆索、施網道旁、為我設擭兮、○

惟恃耶和華、不從驕泰虛偽之輩、斯人其有福兮、

今知耶和華較諸神為大、即於埃及人狂傲之事顯之也、

狂瀾沒我兮、

利舌如蛇、脣藏蝮毒兮、

行宜莊正、如於白晝、勿荒宴而沉湎、勿冒色而邪侈、勿爭鬥而媢嫉、

其藏匿我、脫於行惡者之陰謀、作孽者之喧擾兮、彼眾礪舌如刃、以苦語為矢、而擬準兮、欲暗射完人、遽發而無懼兮、

如是、舌為小體、而誇大焉、些須之火、能燃若大之林、舌乃火、於百體中為不義之寰區、玷污一身、爇畢生之行動、其火乃由地獄也、

我恐至時、見爾不副我所望、而爾見我亦不副爾所望、或有爭鬥、媢嫉、忿怒、朋黨、毀謗、隱刺、妄誇、混亂、
