Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.

Their lips tell lies. Let them be silenced. They speak with pride against those who do right. They make fun of them.

Let the lying lips be mute, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt.

Silence their lying lips— those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly.

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;

As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise.An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

Who have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,That they may shoot in secret places at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

And his servants spake yet more against Jehovah God, and against his servant Hezekiah.

Deliver my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips, And from a deceitful tongue.

But the king shall rejoice in God: Every one that sweareth by him shall glory; For the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

The lip of truth shall be established for ever; But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for cursing and lying which they speak.
